Housing

Housing

Through EOA grants and additional partnerships, AWP offers the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (SSVF), providing housing assistance for homeless Veterans or those at risk of homelessness. Veterans and their Families who are not eligible for SSVF are connected to community and faith-based organizations that help with utilities, food and transportation needs.

Employment

AWP’s Employment Assistance Advocates are critical in connecting transitioning service members with employers. AWP educates Veterans on the translation and application of military skills to employment skills; we connect them with employment agencies, Fort Gordon and other companies; and we help train them to prepare resumes, pursue internships, excel in interviews and obtain other critical employment readiness skills.
