Augusta Warrior Project is the only local non-profit organization of its kind that brings together all the necessary resources to help local Warriors – wounded or not – and their Families. We take a comprehensive focus to overcoming the challenges our local Warriors and their Families face.

Why does this matter?

Every day Warriors return home to find their lives in chaos and crisis, putting them in even greater risk for depression, drug addiction and suicide. There are 66,000 Veterans in the greater Augusta-Aiken area who desperately need our help. AWP provides the needed support and guidance to deliver comprehensive Warrior care. We recognize that when our community thrives, we all thrive.

How are we different?

Established in 2007 in recognition of a need to organize the community, share information, share goals and work together to resolve wounded Warrior and Veterans issues. Refocused in 2011 toward growing Veteran population and greater outreach.

About our logo

Dog tags represent those who serve and we have them placed to form a heart in order to represent the care and compassion that drives the Augusta Warrior Project mission in supporting and serving our Veterans. We use a blue color palette to encompass all branches of service, as we serve all Warriors, wounded or not and their Families.
